Because we’re a small team, you’ll be involved in almost every aspect of the business. As an Economics & Policy Analyst, you’ll conduct research to help us understand new sectors and their associated challenges; you’ll help us develop and write proposals for new business; and you’ll help us deliver insights for our clients through primary and secondary research and data analysis. We’ll help you to use leading analytical software and methods, and to build relationships with our clients, so that over time you’ll be able to take more responsibility and progress your career.

Most of all, we’re looking for entrepreneurs more than employees. People who are intellectually curious; genuinely interested in understanding and solving economic and social problems. We’re looking for people who understand and believe in the power of data and generating knowledge.

Criteria

Maybe you’ve worked for a couple of years in a bigger corporate and feel like you’re not reaching your potential. Maybe you’re finishing a degree, and are looking for a role that really lets you shape your own career. Or maybe you’ve just got a passion for economics or policy research and aren’t quite sure where to go next.

Your situation isn’t important. Who you are, what you want to achieve, and how you want to achieve it is what really matters. If what you’ve read so far feels like it’s a good fit for you, you might as well have a look at the criteria.

Essential

– Degree educated to undergraduate level in relevant subjects (e.g. Data Science, Economics, Politics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Statistics).

– High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Desirable

– Postgraduate Degree (as above).

– Experience of working in a research, analytics, consultancy or advisory background.

– Experience of data extraction, cleaning, analysis and visualisation. Experience of using Alteryx, Tableau, SPSS, or wider programming experience.

– Confident communicator.

Remuneration

Depending on experience, you can expect:

– A competitive base salary (negotiable, above market rate based on experience).

– Annual Bonus Scheme – when we earn, you earn (annual bonus of up to 12% of annual salary depending on financial performance).
